Companion Care Payment Options

Accepted forms of payment:

Long-Term Care
Long-Term Care Insurance (LTC) can assist individuals who can no longer care for themselves. Pearlcare offices accept LTC insurance. Learn more about this type of insurance and how it can be used.

Workers' Compensation
If you or a loved one has been injured on the job, workers' compensation can help pay for medically necessary in-home treatment and care of your injuries. Pearlcare works to ensure that you receive proper care in order to achieve the best possible outcomes and promote a safe return to work.

Private Pay
Pearlcare works with patients and their families to provide home healthcare services on a private pay or self-pay basis. Sometimes private pay becomes necessary for either skilled medical or non-medical care services that are not covered by insurances, third party payor source, or Medicare and Medicaid.

Veterans Aid
The Veterans Aid and Attendance program, provided by the Veterans Administration, offers benefits for veterans and surviving spouses who require assistance with daily living activities. Pearlcare is able to work with patients and their families to verify eligibility of pension benefits from the Veterans Administration.

Unfortunately, Pearlcare does not accept these forms of payment:

Medicare
Pearlcare is not Medicare certified by the Federal Government, but if you are looking for assistance on how to apply please ask. Medicare is the federal health insurance program that covers most people age 65 and older. Some younger people who are disabled or who have End-Stage Renal Disease (permanent kidney failure) are also eligible for coverage.

Medicaid
Pearlcare does not participate in state Medicaid programs, but if you are looking for assistance on how to apply please ask. Medicaid is available only to certain low-income individuals and families who fit into an eligibility group that is recognized by federal and state law. Medicaid does not pay money to you; instead, it sends payments directly to your health care providers. Depending on your state's rules, you may also be asked to pay a small part of the cost (co-payment) for some medical services.
