Telephony
(Ta-LEFF-o-ney) is a timekeeping system designed specifically for companies sending home care aides or other health professionals into the home. Telephony requires the caregiver dial an 800 number when they arrive at the client and enter their caregiver number, they repeat the action when they leave.
The system knows who they are, and how long they worked. It also knows who the client is and how many hours to bill them for. If managed correctly on a daily basis, billing and payroll times can be reduced from hours to minutes. Hectic payroll and billing days become a thing of the past.
Why Telephony?
- Eliminate paper time sheets for good!
- Client is no longer required to sign timesheets thereby avoiding potential conflicts
- Significantly streamline payroll and invoicing
- No addtional phone lines or hardware required
- Disciplines caregivers to show up on time and work for the authorized period
- Provides management with a unique and powerful caregiver management tool
- It's great for marketing
- Clients and families love it

The system also tells the office whether a caregiver has arrived or not. You can actually watch them checking in and out on your office computer screen. This allows staffing coordinators to take appropriate action if they notice a caregiver has not arrived rather than waiting for the irritated call from the client. Telephony can be setup to also email you, if a caregiver does not sign in when they arrive at the client's home.
